The Association
RL-IT (Reflective Learning - Italy), dedicated to improving personal and organizational performance through R-Learning (reflective learning), aims to be the leader in the field, as a
proactive, educational enterprise committed to serving Italian’s
professional workforce.
RL-IT is linked with RL-UK,
the proven global leader in the field of R-Learning. RL-IT uses an
‘appreciative approach’ when supporting staff to work in new, different
and creative ways. We work on the assumption that every individual,
team and service has something that works well.
RL-IT uses
strengths as a starting point for creating positive change. We start
with what is already going well, identify the root causes of success
and then plan a strengths-based approach to personal and organizational
development.
The aim of RL-IT is to disseminate reflective practice principles and methods
by adopting a participatory and appreciative approach in order to:
disseminate and support a culture of high individual, professional and
organizational performance and encourage the development of services
and the transformation of working practices and public- and
private-sector organizational contexts. Our mission is to support
people, work groups, organizations and communities to sustain success
and fulfillment in their work and livelihoods.
Objectives
RL-IT intends to:
• support individuals, groups, organizations, associations, bodies and
institutions to work differently and in a way that is perceived as
being better
• develop innovative training and research methodologies, with special
reference to adult education, continuing training, organizational
learning, and the development, transfer and management of change and of
professional and organizational innovation
• encourage and facilitate innovation and innovation transfer processes
• encourage and facilitate pathways for creative, sustainable change for individuals and organizations
• encourage the expression of unexpressed or unrecognised non-formal and informal knowledge
• create the conditions, methods and instruments for individuals, teams and organizations to learn from experience
• support the emergence, creation and development of networks/communities of practices
• facilitate the creation of networks and practices for interaction and dialogue to foster local development
• develop and disseminate an equal opportunities culture and more in
general the gender dimension in employment relations in
organizations/bodies/enterprises/institutions and in local contexts
• plan, promote and manage initiatives to encourage the development and dissemination of EU policies and programs
• promote the development, dissemination, recognition and certification
of “reflective practice and learning” competences acquired in various
ways by individuals and in organizations
Supporting Services
RL-IT offers a specially tailored range of education support services
that respond to the unique needs and challenges facing public and
private sector organizations in Italy. RL-IT will hosts a prestigious
annual international conference to inform, connect and strengthen
individuals and communities across disciplines, workplaces and regions.
In the first months of 2009 there will be organized the first
international conference in Rome. |
